July 10-12, 2015

3 Days in New York's Hudson Valley
Come paint the beautiful landscape of the Hudson Valley. We'll start with a visit Friday morning to Vassar College, where we'll see the permanent collection of Hudson River School painters. After, we'll paint at Locust Grove in Poughkeepsie, the former home of Samuel Morse. Saturday we'll paint at Olana, the former home of Hudson River School artist, Frederick Church. Olana sits high above the Hudson River offering magnificent sweeping vistas. We'll tour his home and studio. Sunday we'll paint at Montgomery Place; a beautiful historic riverfront estate that sits on 424 acres of orchards, gardens and stately woods. (Instructor's Fee; $325.00, does not include admission to Olana house tour).

August 6-9, 2015

Four Days in Amenia, New York

The former country estate of philanthropist Chauncey Stillman is considered one of the finest classical gardens in the country.  The house is home to the only frescos by Pietro Annigoni in the country. There will be a tour of Wethersfield House and the garden. Each day will include painting instruction, multiple critiques as well as a demo on the first day of the workshop.
