As with any Lattimore workshop I have attended, I came away not only with a good painting(s) but a depth of learning that only true experiences can bring. Andrew is an insightful and generous teacher and the students of the atelier join in this spirit, creating an experience beyond compare.
Tuscany, a few years ago, my favorite. Of course, the setting is unrivaled for artists, and Andrew's intimate knowledge of Florence made it such an unforgettable experience. The camaraderie among those of us who attended was so much fun as well. The wonderful, sometimes improvised meals, outdoors, under the stars, after a full day of painting and visiting Museums. There was always plenty of wine and laughter and even an occasional dance...and even came back home with a couple of nice paintings! Wonderful experience, truly memorable!
I have been attending Andrew's Hudson Valley workshops for the past three years and I learn so much every time. Andrew provides priceless on-site demos and gives great feedback to his students but what I love the most, is being on vacation with my extended family. I will never forget the experiences and the joy.
I began working with Andrew because I saw palpable improvement in the paintings of a friend of mine who had been taking his classes. I have learned very much from Andrew, and during workshops he’s so inspiring that I find myself creating 2 paintings a day, each one better than before.
